The Role
BeyondTrust is seeking a Software Development Manager who will also take on the role of Product Owner to join our BeyondInsight Unix & Linux team. As part of the wider Endpoint Privilege Management (EPM) product suite, BeyondInsight enables deployment, auditing, and policy management for our Unix & Linux EPM products.

- Leadership & Management: Direct and manage a focused engineering team, ensuring alignment with company goals and efficient resource allocation.
- Strategic Development: Oversee development of product components or features, maintaining alignment with the overall strategy and managing technical complexities.
- Operational Excellence: Foster an adaptive, agile culture; support the team in delivering secure, scalable solutions; and drive operational improvements for customer support excellence.
- Team Development & Mentorship: Continuously improve team performance and quality, recruit top talent, and mentor team members for their growth in technical, product, and interpersonal skills.
- Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, ensuring team alignment with organizational objectives and building cross-functional partnerships.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience designing, building, and delivering software solutions while adhering to a schedule of deliverables
- Strong Linux/Unix skills
- Web development: experience with Angular, stream composition, state reduction, TypeScript, SCSS, RxJS
- Experience developing enterprise-grade applications with Golang or equivalent-class language
- Cloud architecture and development, preferably AWS experience
- RESTful API design
- Database design and administration
- Experience with LaunchDarkly feature flags
- Experience with Localstack
- Strong focus on secure coding and security best practices
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining microservice-based applications.
- Experience using Agile methodologies
- LDAP/ Active Directory administration and management
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub
- Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
Who You Are
- You have 10+ years of experience as a software development manager, managing teams of 10 or more engineers
- You have experience with the full lifecycle of development, taking responsibility for product ownership and releases in an agile environment.
- You have a solid understanding of modern design patterns.
- You have a good understanding and interest in network security and encryption.
- You are a team player, eager and open to sharing successes and failures.
- You are a passionate and a motivated learner, always looking for an opportunity to learn and grow.
- You are optimistic, positive and have a great sense of humor.
- You are flexible and can adapt to shifting situations and requirements.
